In this short blog we are going to share with you 2 delicious and quick recipes of fresh iced coffee that can be made with our Vienna Coffee French Press Cafetière. You don't need a lot of equipment and it is ready quickly. This way you can have a delicious iced coffee brewed with the French press in no time!
Cold Brew iced coffee with the Vienna Coffee French Press
Supplies:
- Vienna Coffee French Press (1 liter)
- Vienna Coffee manual coffee grinder
- Coffee beans (medium, dark roast)
- Scale (optional)
- Ice cubes
- Milk
- Maple syrup
- Extra: ice cream, whipped cream, cocoa
Step 1: Grind coffee
- Weigh 75 grams of coffee beans using a scale.
- Grind the coffee beans to a medium coarseness using a coffee grinder.
Step 2: Prepare the Cold Brew iced coffee
- Add the ground coffee to the French Press.
- Pour (480 ml) cold water over the ground coffee.
- Stir gently with a spoon to ensure that all the coffee is evenly moistened.
- Place the lid on the French Press, but do not push the plunger down.
- Let the coffee steep in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours (or overnight).
- After steeping, slowly push the plunger down to separate the coffee from the ground coffee.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the cold coffee over it.
- Add milk and sweetener to taste (for example 2% milk and maple syrup) and stir well. Garnish with whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Cold Brew Iced Coffee!
Brewed iced coffee with the Vienna Coffee French Press
Supplies:
- Vienna Coffee French Press (1 liter)
- Vienna Coffee manual coffee grinder
- Coffee beans (medium, dark roast)
- Kettle
- Scale (optional)
- Ice cubes
- Milk
- Maple syrup
- Extra: ice cream, whipped cream, cocoa
Step 1: Grind coffee
- Weigh 75 grams of coffee beans using a scale.
- Grind the coffee beans to a medium coarseness using a coffee grinder.
Step 2: Prepare the Brewed Iced Coffee
- Bring 960 ml of water to the boil using a kettle. Then let it cool for 1 minute to about 93°C.
- Add the ground coffee to the French Press.
- Slowly pour the hot water over the ground coffee, making sure all the coffee is evenly moistened.
- Stir gently with a spoon to thoroughly mix the coffee and water.
- Place the lid on the French Press, but do not push the plunger down.
- Let the coffee steep for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Then slowly push the plunger down to separate the coffee from the ground coffee.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the hot coffee over it.
- Add milk and sweetener to taste (for example 2% milk and maple syrup) and stir well.
- Let the coffee cool and serve it chilled. Garnish with whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa if desired.
